Fully Funded Global Scholarships For International Students 2021- 2023 in Korea

 The Korean government invites international students from all countries of the world to the opportunity to get many scholarships; Global Korea Scholarships. This scholarship provides international students with opportunities to conduct advanced studies in undergraduate & graduate programs at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Korea in order to promote international exchanges in education and mutual friendship between countries.  

Eligibility:

You must have:

• Adequate health, both mentally and physically, to stay in a foreign country for a long time.
• Not hold Korean citizenship.
• A grade point average (G.P.A.) above 80% from the last educational institution attended. 
• Both an applicant and his/her parents must be citizens of their country of origin.
  • For undergraduate:
    • Should be under 25 years of age at the date of entrance. 
    • Finished or be scheduled to finish formal education of all elementary, middle, high school courses by the date of arrival. 
  • For graduate:
    •  Should be under 40 years of age at the date of entrance. 
    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Master's degree by the date of arrival. 

Please note:

• Applicants who have previously achieved in any undergraduate program, master’s program, or doctoral program in Korea cannot apply for this program.
• A Former or current Korean government scholarship program (KGSP) scholar who holds the overall grade of 90% or above and has attained Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) level 5 or higher can reapply to this program once either through the embassy or university track.

If you get one of these scholarships, you will have:

1. Covering the actual airfare.
2. Resettlement allowance of  USD178.
3. Living allowance of USD17.8.
4. Medical insurance USD 17.8  (per month).
5. Language courses USD 711.8 per quarter.
6. Tuition fees actual cost (No more than USD 4449 per semester).
7. Award for Excellent Korean Language Proficiency.
8. Research Support USD 187– 214 (per semester).
9. Printing Costs (Dissertation) USD 445-712.
10. Completion Grant USD 89 (Once).

Procedure for the Scholarship Award

• NIIED invites the Korean Embassy in the invited country or a domestic university to recommend potential candidates.
• Applicants should submit all documents related to their scholarship application to the Korean Embassy in their country of residence or the domestic university concerned.
• The Korean Embassy or the domestic university sends proper candidates to NIIED with the required documents.
• NIIED evaluates potential candidates and notifies the Korean Embassy of the final selected KGSP grantees.
