Deezen company ,in cooperation with LG Displays, is offering the ‘LG Display and Dezeen's OLEDs Go!’ design competition. This competition is a global contest seeking innovative designs that showcase OLED technology in new and creative ways.
About the competition:-
The competition is free to enter for anyone over the age of 18 in any country around the world, with prize money totalling €46,000.
Contestants are free to design any kind of product that incorporates OLED technology.
Dezeen and LG Display are looking for beautiful designs that make use of OLED technology in innovative ways to solve problems or enhance people's lives.
Designs should elevate the technology to create useful and desirable products. Entrants should consider who their product is designed for and how it will fit in with and enhance their lifestyle.
Rather than handheld devices, Dezeen and LG Display are looking for larger objects that incorporate OLED displays of at least 22 inches (measured diagonally).
Proposed designs should showcase the key characteristics and capabilities of OLED technology while being feasible to manufacture using LG Display's latest technology.
Eligibility:-
The competition is free to enter and all applicants over the age of 18 are invited to participate, regardless of whether they are professional designers and architects, non-designers, students or teams.
Entrants may submit more than one design, if they wish. However, entrants will need to fill out and submit a separate entry form for each design they submit.
Dezeen reserves the right to disqualify an entry if it becomes apparent that a submission is inaccurate or if Dezeen or the jury have any uncertainty about the integrity of the entry.
In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Dezeen may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
Dezeen reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
Prizes:-
Competition entries will be judged by a jury comprising Dezeen editors and LG Display executives and designers, who will select the shortlist, finalists and determine the overall winner.
The shortlist will be published on Dezeen in March 2021, with the finalists revealed in April 2021 and the winner announced in May 2021.
The winner will receive a top prize of €15,000 and the runner up will receive €10,000, while the remaining three finalists will receive €7,000 each.
