Circular Economy Innovation Challenge for Startups from Agorize

Agorize is offering the Innovation Startup Challenge for Circular Economy. If your company has a business solution to help tackle one or several of the problems below, Agorize would like to see your solution. No matter where you are from, join this contest for the chance to develop a business partnership with Hitachi, a global group from Japan.

Challenge Themes:-

• Ensuring the sustainability of water resources.
• Creating a zero waste society.
• Reducing food waste in Southeast Asia.

Selection Criteria:-

• Value of the addressed issues:

  • Is there a real need in the market to address this issue? How many people are impacted by it?

• Innovativeness of the technology and business model:

  • How innovative is the technology used and the business model? How are they different from others?

• Impact:

  • What is the scale of potential social impact? How broad is the impact? How many people will your solution reach? How significant is the impact?

• Potential to create a strong customer base:

  • How big is the market you are targeting? Who (companies/individuals) make up the target segment?

• Feasibility:

  • How feasible is the solution to put into practice? Does the solution make sense financially? Will the solution be sustainable over the long term?

• Synergy with Hitachi (Mentoring phase only):

  • To what extent is your solution in line with Hitachi’s values of social innovation?

Eligibility:-

• This Challenge is open and offered solely to startups, a business entity, regardless of its business area. Startups may be required, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to provide proof of:

  • Company registration by submitting a registration certificate issued within the last three (3) months, or ongoing company registration, or any trade registry and proof ensuring the registration of the entity in the relevant country

  • A valid professional insurance policy subscription.

• All the documents that may confirm the Participant’s eligibility will be required prior to awarding any prizes (e.g. identity document, student card, etc.).

• This Challenge is not open to: employees and representatives of the Sponsor, Agorize employees and members of their families.

• This Challenge is void in countries where it is prohibited or restricted by law.
