Opportunity description
Applications are open for the 2025 Mastercard Foundation/University of Cambridge Climate Resilience and Sustainability Research Fund. This fund aims to catalyze new and strengthen existing collaborations between researchers in Africa and Cambridge, supporting high-quality training activities. The focus is research on climate resilience and sustainability, interpreted broadly as long as the research’s linkage to these areas is justified in the application.
Supported by a £7.7 million investment from the Mastercard Foundation, the fund will run from 2025 to 2030, following an annual cycle of awards until 2029, when it will support activities for 2029-30. Most awards will be for 12-month activities.
Benefits:
- This round offers Research Catalyst Grants (up to £20,000) and Workshop Grants (up to £50,000). Awardees may use preliminary results from their catalyst grant to apply for further funding from other bodies.
