Applications are open for the 2025 FirstRand Oxford Blavatnik School of Government Scholarship. The FirstRand Empowerment Foundation (FREF) has partnered with Wadham College, University of Oxford, for five years to support one outstanding South African student annually for postgraduate study at the Blavatnik School of Government. The successful candidate will deepen their understanding of public policy challenges to become a more effective leader and changemaker.
Requirements:
FirstRand will conduct the interview and selection process concurrently with its international postgraduate scholarship program. Candidates will be assessed on academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and potential to be a changemaker. Applications are submitted online only.
FirstRand and the Blavatnik School seek applicants who will benefit from the opportunity and contribute to South Africa upon their return.
Benefits:
FirstRand’s five-year partnership with Wadham College includes:
- Full funding for one student per year to study for a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, including residency at Wadham College.
