2021 Camera Action Film Critics Festival

Film FreeWay invites filmmakers from around the world to be part of the 2021 Camera Action Film Critics Festival. "Camera Action" Film Critics Festival has been paying attention to trends in cinema since the first edition, it shows the way for future film critics, it reacts to the changing film industry, inviting viewers to discussions.

An integral part of the Festival is the Competition of Short Films addressed to filmmakers. Films are evaluated in two categories: Best Short (Live Action, Documentary, Experimental) and Best Short (Animated).

The aim of the competition is to show the impact of knowledge of the wide understood of film theory on artistic creativity, knowledge of the context, language, and history of the film, the ability to navigate in the field of audiovisual art, conscious use of film references allow you to look at the film in an original way and make it in an interesting form.

The organizers provide one statuette for each category: for the Best Short (Live Action, Documentary, Experimental) and Best Short (Animated). The jury may award special distinctions in both categories. The organizers also provide material prizes.

• The competition is open to:

1. students and graduates of film schools;
2. independent filmmakers with no specialized education (self-taught people, movieggoer)

• Film submission to the 12th Film Art Critics Festival Kamera Akcja in 2021 is free of charge.
• In case the current edition of the Festival is postponed or canceled, the organizers will automatically invite the qualified film to the next edition of the Festival. The right holders, who do not agree to that, have the right to withdraw the film from the Competition if they notify the organizers within four weeks after the postponement/cancellation is announced.

Technical Requirements:

• The maximum movie length is 30 minutes.
• Films should have initial subtitles and end credits (title, authors' names).
• A film that was produced after October 20, 2019, i.e. not older than 2 years.
• Films should be submitted in the original version with English subtitles.
• At the stage of submission, the film should be sent via the Application Form (FilmFreeway) in the form of a review link to the VIMEO (with an access password) or YouTube (non-public link), or Google Drive.
• The link should enable viewing the movie in a minimum quality of 720p (HD Ready).
• The Organizers reserve the right to withdraw the film from the Competition at the stage of the Selection Committee's work due to a broken link, failure to meet the technical requirements contained in the regulations.
