The Senior Strategic Planning and Project Management Specialist is responsible for supporting, developing, and implementing processes and standards related to project management. The role includes overseeing the progress of various institutional programs and ensuring their alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. This position applies best practices in project management, collaborates with functional managers for effective project planning, monitors performance, identifies risks, and resolves issues to ensure projects align with strategic goals.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Develop and implement frameworks and tools to monitor strategic initiatives, action plans, and performance indicators to ensure consistency and efficiency across all activities.
- Establish standards for managing action plans and provide guidance and recommendations during the execution of programs and processes.
- Ensure the application of policies, methodologies, and best practices in project management across action plans.
- Track the progress and implementation of strategic initiatives, action plans, and outcomes, preparing periodic reports for strategic planning management.
- Assist executives in preparing action plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Monitor performance to ensure required standards are met within the allocated timeframe and budget.
- Identify and manage risks and issues to ensure successful execution of action plans.
- Prepare periodic reports on the performance of initiatives and action plans, offering recommendations to overcome challenges and enhance performance.
- Provide comprehensive analyses and executive summaries for senior management, highlighting progress, risks, results, and necessary adjustments to achieve strategic objectives.
- Evaluate and improve project management methodologies and tools, as well as performance indicators and annual goals, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to developing training programs aimed at improving project management skills within the organization.
- Ensure that all action plan outputs meet required standards and contribute to achieving the organization's strategic goals.
- Coordinate efforts between different teams to ensure effective integration and collaboration in implementing strategic initiatives and action plans.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all work stages to ensure transparency and ease of information access, including documenting internal management processes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on work progress, along with performance measurement reports.
- Lead the preparation of the annual planning package, ensuring coordination between all executive and support departments.
- Collaborate with executive and support departments, as well as strategic planning management, to unify annual planning efforts.
- Execute the department's strategic initiatives.
- Prioritize the work of departments and divisions based on the organization's strategic plan.
- Regularly update the strategic plan and hold sessions to explain it to employees.
- Coordinate with the monitoring and evaluation department to unify efforts between the two departments.
- Develop and monitor the department's action plan and performance indicators, providing monthly reports.
- Assist in preparing presentations, the annual report, and reports on institutional achievements and challenges.
- Develop a framework for distributing goals and indicators, linking them to departmental activities on an annual basis.
- Oversee the automation of the strategic planning system and ensure its continuous activation and development.
- Provide strategic advice to management on improving processes and increasing efficiency in implementing initiatives.
Eligibility criteria:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognized project management certification (such as PMP, PMD Pro, or equivalent).
- Ability to think strategically, align projects with broader organizational goals, and contribute to institutional growth and development.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify risks and challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management and planning software, as well as automated strategic planning and reporting systems.
- Ability to quickly adapt to organizational challenges and changes.
- Deep knowledge of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), with proven ability to oversee complex projects.
