Summer Internship for University Students at Volvo Cars Company

Volvo Cars is offering the Americas Online Experience (AOX) internship for students all over the world. The Americas Online Experience (AOX) is one of the key drivers to Volvo Cars US digital transformation. At AOX, Volvo cars does not settle for adapting to the change around but seeks to drive the change.

About the Internship Role:-

• The intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the graduate's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. 
• The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Cars by working on important AOX projects that support non-traditional sales models.

• As a summer intern, you will contribute to AOX Commercial Sales products such as Fleet management, Overseas Delivery and B2B programs. You will collaborate and exchange ideas with experts in these areas. 
• You will implement concepts and solutions to create a working POCs.

• Minimum Education Requirements.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering Design, Applied Statistics at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 
• Required Skills
• Experience in front end web/mobile development.
• Experience implementing frontend integrations with backend services via web service APIs experiences/components.
• Experience implementing modular user interfaces on an application framework/platform.
• Salesforce development experience is a plus.
• Practical experience in developing scripts for tools automation.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and an appetite for systems thinking.
• Good mathematical background with a strong orientation towards statistical thinking and multi-disciplinary optimization.
• Domain knowledge in machine learning algorithms and techniques is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent team working and communication (verbal & written) skills in English.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic, interdisciplinary team of experts.
• Experience with React Native a plus.
