Opportunity description

Amazon offers a job opportunity and announces its need for maintenance technicians to join the team to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at its new fulfillment center (FC) in Cranbourne. As an RME Technician, you’ll respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long-term improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

Duties & responsibilities

Your Key responsibilities will be:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
  • Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner).
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Experience fault finding within Material Handling. Equipment/Automation systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings.
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, and motor controllers/inverters.
  • Experience in working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
  • You are preferred to have:
    • Experience with CMMS systems.
    • Experience with sortation machines.
    • Experience with maintaining/configuring barcode scanners.
    • Experience with print and apply machines.

Please note the shift pattern is based on business needs, and rotates every 6 months from Wednesday to Saturday | Sunday to Wednesday (10-hour shifts, 4 days per week).
