Sapphire Recruitment Consultants is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Group Legal Counsel who speaks Arabic to join the team in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. 

1. Review and advise on contracts, licenses, and other agreements with customers, suppliers and other third parties.
2. Structuring, negotiating, and drafting sales, partner and vendor contracts and related agreements.
3. Advice on confidentiality agreements and engagement letters between Group and third parties.
4. Give accurate and timely counsel to Executives in a variety of legal topics (labour law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.).
5. Keeping standard terms and conditions relevant to the services that they are delivering.
6. Managing contractual risk across the Group.
7. Provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to the Group and its subsidiaries and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to government regulations, commercial and corporate activities.
8. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating documents (e.g., Regulatory approval forms, license applications, company formation) commercial contracts and agreements as required.
9. Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
10. Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that are applicable to the business.
11. Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.
12. Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel or auditors.
13. Stay up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business and specific industry.
14. Liaising with senior members of staff and keeping them informed.
15. Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
16. Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
17. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
18. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.

1. 6 years of experience in diversified industries.
2. Experience as a legal counsel in business environment.
3. Sound understanding and knowledge of commercial and corporate law internationally and within the UAE.
4. Specifically, with respect to the UAE highly knowledgeable about the Federal and local law.
5. Have more than 6 years’ experience as a Commercial Lawyer working in-house, in a group of companies or in a leading firm and at least 2 years’ experience in a Holding group entity.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills.
7. Degree in Business Administration will be considered an advantage.
8. Excellent negotiating and drafting skill.
9. Ability to build and maintain strong professional relations across the business.
10. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work in autonomous environment.
11. Law degree.
12. Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.
13. Must be prepared to relocate to Fujairah.
14. Strong contracts experience.
15. Must currently reside in the UAE.
