Siemens offers a job opportunity in Saudi Arabia as an IoT Project Manager for Smart Infrastructure. Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  1. Owning the overall delivery of the smart services and implementation as per the scope defined in the contract.
  2. Delivery of the smart services and integration platform as per the timelines defined in the contract document.
  3. Prepare and own the project plan for the implementation of smart services.
  4. Facilitating the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  5. Resolving or assisting in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; adopting the methods defined by the PMO to monitor project or area progress, and providing corrective supervision when necessary.
  6. Assembling the project staff; for their technical or functional development, performance, and/or termination during the project.
  7. Managing the project budget and resource allocation.
  8. Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements.
  9. Follow a defined, agreed-upon project management methodology.
  10. Present regular oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to the Siemens regional management as per the defined governance plan.
  11. Lead the delivery of all the deliverables to the customer PMO as per the final contract for the 7 smart services as listed in the Siemens scope of work.
  12. Software delivery and installation for the applicable smart services.
  13. Test cases for:
  14. Functional acceptance testing.
  15. Provisional acceptance testing.
  16. Final acceptance testing.
  17. Data gathering and configuration of the software services.
  18. Installation, testing, and commissioning of the hardware components required for the smart services.
  19. Lead and manage the timely build, installation, testing, and commissioning of all the elements as listed in the contract document.
  20. Own and manage the Siemens invoicing and payment plan. Submit invoices and follow up for timely payment collection.
  21. Manage and communicate the project cash flow to the Siemens country management monthly.
  22. Forecast and report the probable issues and risks to the smart services to the governance and the Siemens country management.
  23. Ensure the delivery of the listed services adheres to the methodology defined for the project by the governance/PMO.
  24. Attend weekly/monthly internal steering committee meetings and present progress, issues, risks, and mitigations to the committee.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Experience in SDLC for end user-facing products. In-depth understanding of BRS, HLD, LLD, FAT, UAT, and H2O processes for software delivery.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager.
  • Hands-on experience in software build, implementation, testing, and handover to support projects for the end user-facing software.
  • PMP and ITIL certification and experience in delivering software and IT integration projects.
  • Experience in bug/issue management on the delivered software to seek successful UAT sign-off.
  • Experience in using issue management tools like JIRA to efficiently manage the software testing and user testing process.
  • Experience in IoT systems integration and delivery is a plus.
  • Ability to build, manage and update project plans for the main program and the sub programs with every solution vendor.
  • Ability to understand the overall architecture and responsibilities of the 3rd party vendors to efficiently manage the delivery to the customer.
  • Own the overall solution delivery scope from requirements mapping, design, build, and testing to managing the delivery to the end customer
