Job Opportunity at AMF in UAE: Lead Accountant

AMF is offering a job opportunity in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as a Lead Accountant.

1. Assisting fellow accountants and account supervisors to accomplish the tasks of the accounts department in accordance with work plans and operational priorities.
2. Review the accounting entries for all financial transactions of the Fund's activities and managed funds.
3. Organizing accounting work for assigned activities to follow up the preparation and registration of their accounting entries, review them, ensure the integrity of their registration, and complete the review of payments on the original documents and credits in accordance with the approved procedures in force.
4. Preparing the necessary information required by the administration to build its work plans and drawing up its financial policies, and contributing to the preparation of analysis reports for the periodic accounts, as needed.
5. Preparing reports according to approved procedures and contributing to their development according to specific timetables to ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information to infrom administrative decisions.
6. Contributing to the work teams' efforts to prepare and review the monthly financial statements and various financial performance reports for the fund and the services it provides to affiliated institutions (the Arab Trade Finance Program, the Arab Clearing and Settlement Regional Corporation for Arab Payments, and other managed funds).
7. Contributing to the preparation of the annual administrative budget, and report on the performance of the main activities compared to them.
8. Carrying out any other work within the competence of the financial department in AMF, assigned by the head of the accounts department and the director of the department.

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Professional certification from one of the well-known professional associations such as CFA, ACCA, CMA, CPA.
3. Experience of no less than 7 years in the field of accounts or finance or auditing, 3 years or more at a supervisory level in well-known financial institutions or auditing firms.
4. Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) relevant to the Fund's fields of work, in particular International Accounting Standard No. (9) Financial Instruments - Verification and Measurement.
5. Distinguished ability in preparing reports and financial analysis in both Arabic and English.
6. Tangible experience using and development of financial information systems, and in updating work policies and procedures manuals in a way that enhances the work paths that characterize the fund.
7. The ability to meet business quality with work pressures and requirements for completion outside official working hours.
8. A leadership personality with ambition and self-learning inclined.
9. Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English, knowledge of French is an asset.
10. Flexible and positive personality capable of interacting with colleagues and employees internally, in addition to the ability to complete the assigned tasks on time.
