Hilton Hotel offers a job opportunity as an Executive Chef in Egypt. You will be fully responsible for developing the hotel's reputation by producing high-quality food throughout the hotel, and developing a high-quality kitchen team, and will also oversee the operational management of the kitchen and team members.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the kitchen team and ensure the continuous development of its members.
  • Creating dishes that meet and exceed customer needs and comply with brand standards.
  • Ensure the consistent production of high-quality food through all hotel food outlets.
  • Develop positive customer relationships by proactively interacting with guests, team members, and suppliers.
  • Resolve any issues that may arise in the kitchen or any of the areas related to guests and team members, promptly and completely.
  • Manage department operations, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and waste management.
  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen including operational and administrative functions.
  • Ensure adequate resources are available according to business needs.
  • Manage the catering provision of food and beverage outlets and take action where necessary to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Control costs without compromising food standards, improving gross profit margins and other administrative and financial objectives.
  • Ensure that team members have up-to-date knowledge of menu items, special promotions, and various events.
  • Ensure that staffing levels are maintained at the appropriate level to cover business requirements.
  • Manage employee performance-related issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment, management, training, and development of the kitchen team.
  • Compliance with hotel security and fire regulations and all health, safety, and food safety legislation.
  • Ensure that maintenance and hygiene issues and hazards are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Review all menus with the Food & Beverage Manager on a regular basis to ensure offerings are in line with market trends.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly work schedules in accordance with local legislation.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Relevant previous experience as a high-performing executive chef or sous chef in a tier 1 facility.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • An innovative approach to producing high-quality food.
  • Business-focused approach to hotel kitchen management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to build internal and external relationships for the hotel and the company.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Certificate in the field of management.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and their various programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
