Microsoft offers a job opportunity as a university recruiting account manager – Americas Engineering. You will work closely with Microsoft’s engineering businesses based in the Americas to define and deliver their demand for University talent. To complete this task, you will act as the liaison between business leaders and the university recruiting team to consult, advise and guide their decisions and strategies around this generation of talent. You will partner with business leaders, HR leaders, diversity and inclusion leaders, university school recruiters, and candidate closers to lead, influence and shepherd strong university hiring results in a very competitive talent market.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Work as a trusted advisor and consultative trusted advisor with the business, identifying business hiring needs and collaboratively consulting on topics such as sourcing strategies, hiring trends, intern program development, diversity, candidate attraction, and interview best practices. You will identify differentiated and alternative types of talent (e.g., compete, diverse, nontraditional) that may not be typically considered, and provide recommendations to business area.
- Strategic partnerships and build strong connections and partnerships with key stakeholders across the company both globally and locally; advise on university program planning, development and execution. You’ll also provide program guidance on the candidate experience from beginning to end; coaching business group partners on a variety of recruiting activities including candidate pool, diversity strategies, technical presentations and candidate interviewing.
- UR Evangelism and generate excitement, enthusiasm and support for the university process and the talent pool the company support. Identify and cultivate UR champions as well as an appropriate model to influence and execute on business requirements and successfully deliver demand.
- Demand delivery and headcount planning and management through a partnership with talent acquisition, HR and business partners, and Microsoft Finance teams, to influence workforce plans; collect, define and manage corresponding university requisitions for current and long-term talent needs.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
Required qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in HR practices or program/project management OR 3+ years of experience in HR practices or program/project management with a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in client consultation, negotiation, or strategic advisory.
- Comfortable working autonomously.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, strong planning, and organization skills, and possess proven coordination skills.
- Highly developed analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and partnerships while contributing to a fun and collaborative team environment.
