Opportunity description

Agoda offers a job opportunity as a commercial team manager for flights in the United Arab Emirates. As part of the Commercial Tours team, you will be responsible for looking after the company's partners across the Middle East. You will be responsible for identifying new partners and opportunities, building a relationship with them, and working with them to deliver the best results for end customers. You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day communication with partners and working closely with other teams within Agoda to ensure partner needs are met.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Supervise the flight partners in your market in parts related to business negotiations, operations, and fares.
  • Interact regularly with other team members in the inflight commercial team as well as with other inflight stakeholders within Agoda (product, marketing, finance, legal, tax) while providing necessary insights into partners, industry, market, and products.
  • Maintain positive and trusting relationships with aviation suppliers and key business partners in general.
  • Analyze the online travel system, markets, competitive landscape, and necessary business requirements.
  • Define, conceptualize, launch, improve, pilot, and perform products and features.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • OTA experience covering many aspects such as your knowledge of the product, operations, commercial negotiations, and legal.
  • In-flight experience in multiple areas such as sourcing/distribution, user experience, marketing, customer service, tax, legal, etc.
  • Proven ability to leverage analytics and data to influence decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in English), specialized business communication skills in the local language (Arabic preferred).
  • entrepreneurial and analytical skills; Ability to break down complex problems and lead and manage change.
  • Proven experience developing strategic initiatives and comprehensive business plans.

Preferably:

  • MBA, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Statistics degree.
  • Comfortable using data tools such as SQL, Python, and R.
