Rotana Hotels & Resorts offers a job opportunity as a Pastry Chef in the United Arab Emirates. Rotana Hotels & Resorts is currently looking for enthusiastic and dynamic culinary professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions for guests.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Head Chef in daily operation and work.
- Work to menu specifications by Chef de Partie.
- Maintaining the work area in hygienic conditions always in accordance with the rules set by the hotel.
- Monitor food stocks and costs in your department.
- Follow instructions and recommendations from your direct supervisors to complete daily tasks.
- Ensure the highest quality standards in your daily work and keep up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
- Coordinate and participate with other departments in maintaining cleanliness, reducing waste and controlling costs.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
- Previous experiences in high quality establishments along with good culinary skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- The ability to prepare and display food and know how to save it.
- You must be energetic, passionate about food, and committed to working alongside the service team to deliver amazing guest experiences.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Dynamic, creative, dedicated and able to work in a multicultural environment and under challenging circumstances.
- Adaptability skills.
- Teamwork skills.
