Opportunity description

GEMs Education offers a full-time job opportunity to work as a chemistry teacher in Fujairah. It seeks a passionate and knowledgeable teacher to teach chemistry to students at both the IGCSE and A Levels. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the school's science curriculum.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
  • Design and deliver comprehensive chemistry lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with IGCSE and A Level standards.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress through assignments, exams, and laboratory experiments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the chemistry program and share best practices.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other required documentation.
  • Mentorship, providing guidance and support to help students achieve their academic and career aspirations.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field (a master's degree is preferred).
  • Teaching certification or significant teaching experience.
  • Mid Career - Over 2 years experience.
  • Experience with the iGCSE and A Level examination boards.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry principles and educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
