Orange announces a job opportunity in Egypt to work as a BMC discovery expert.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. Computer, communication or electronics MIS, B.Sc. or B.Eng. Degree.
  2. Soft skill / business courses & certification (time management, negotiation/communication skills...).
  3. At least 2 years of professional and hands on experience in BMC discovery/ADDM.
  4. Recent strong experience in managing an enterprise deployment of BMC discovery/ADDM.
  5. Recent strong experience in managing an enterprise deployment of BMC Atrium/CMDB.
  6. Platforms: Linux, Unix and Windows.
  7. Configuration management: Ansible.
  8. Scripting: Bash, PowerShell.
  9. CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Gitlab.
  10. Virtualization/cloud: VMware, Openstack.
  11. Network/Infrastructure: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
  12. Storage: LVM, RAID, NFS, Ceph.
  13. Data visualization tools: Grafana, Kibana, Wavefront
  14. Experience managing an enterprise deployment of BMC Discovery/ADDM.
  15. Experience managing an enterprise deployment of BMC Atrium/CMDB.
  16. Very good understanding of project management and time management.
  17. Very good technical reports writing skills.
  18. Be fluent in speaking and writing skills in English.
  19. It's preferred to be fluent in French too.
  20. Be a team player.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  • BMC Atrium/CMDB day to day responsibilities:
  1. Support the tooling stack to ensure it is maintained and in vendor support.
  2. Discovery and CMDB monitoring.
  3. Discovery and CMDB troubleshooting.
  4. Discovery and CMDB housekeeping
  • Configuration management, data quality review, license utilization review.
  • Provide application team support to collate target application detail for finger printing.
  • Review application models for accuracy.
  • Delivers and customizes technical presentations on BMC products.
  • Explains product capabilities, limitations and implementation.
  • Describes technical tradeoffs and implementation alternatives
  • Identifies and develops innovative solutions to customer requirements
  • Identifies and resolves technical and business problems with the trial. Makes recommendations to terminate trials when necessary.
  • Provides demonstrations and presentations for BMC. Performs necessary equipment set-up and installation.
